A short summary of our 2025 Impact Story for fellow visual learners!
A short summary of our 2025 Impact Story for fellow visual learners!
The Green Launchpad is building the foundation for a more coordinated, equitable, and employer-aligned clean energy ecosystem, starting in New York. This year, our work drove meaningful progress across workforce training, employer collaboration, and ecosystem-building efforts that are strengthening the field and expanding access to clean energy opportunities.
To our Partners, Stakeholders, and Community
As we look at the ambitious energy goals and needs set across the country, a fundamental truth remains: Policy sets the destination, but people pave the road.
Last year, I founded The Green Launchpad with a clear hypothesis: the clean energy transition cannot happen in silos. It requires a connected ecosystem where employers, workforce providers, and jobseekers speak the same language. In 2025, we established the strong foundation needed to prove this model works, and works well—starting in New York, but with a vision that extends far beyond.
Unlocking Scale Through the Multiplier Effect From day one, we focused on high-leverage intervention points. We didn't just ask, "How do we train a worker?" We asked, "How do we empower the system?" Through our Accelerator for Workforce Developers, we added 45 dedicated professionals to our growing alumni network this year alone (89 alumni across all cohorts). But the true story isn’t just in the cohort numbers—it is in the multiplier effect. By equipping these advisors with sector literacy (a clear understanding of clean energy framework, roles, certifications pathways, funding streams, and market drivers) — and employer insights, we unlocked a pipeline capable of reaching over 6,750 jobseekers annually. We are building the capacity that allows the entire ecosystem to scale.
Bridging the Gap: The Power of Collaboration Capacity building is only half the equation; the other half is connection. This year, our NYC Energy Efficiency Employer-Led Workforce Coalition tackled the industry's fragmentation head-on. We brought 11 leading employers—representing nearly 2,400 professionals—to the table to do the hard work of alignment. We moved beyond polite networking to the critical task of defining competencies and clearing the fog between "hiring need" and "candidate readiness." This coalition proved that when you build a bridge between employers and workforce partners, the traffic flows in both directions.
Democratizing Access as a Public Good As a Public Benefit Corporation, we believe that ecosystem intelligence should be a standard, not a privilege. Too often, the "keys" to this sector are hidden behind paywalls or fragmented networks. We tore down those barriers by launching public tools like our NYC Wraparound Services Database and the NY Clean Energy Certification & Workforce Provider Database. By democratizing this data, we ensure that community-based organizations and jobseekers—regardless of their zip code or background—have the strategic intelligence needed to thrive.
Looking to 2026: Deepening Roots, Expanding Reach If 2025 was about establishing our foundation, 2026 is about expansion. We will be doubling down on our capacity-building efforts, bringing our first-of-its-kind Accelerator model to new regions and deepening our reach and impact in New York. Simultaneously, we will build more bridges, creating powerful new coalitions that tightly couple employer demand with workforce supply.
The transition is here. The technology is ready. And now, thanks to the work of this growing community, the workforce ecosystem is rising to meet it.

We strengthen the knowledge, advising skills, and confidence of practitioners who guide jobseekers into New York’s clean energy sector through our Accelerator for Workforce Developers and the Clean Energy Career Exploration Series.
Our trainings equip workforce developers, career advisors, jobseekers, and community-based organizations with employer-aligned insights, sector literacy, and practical tools that improve job-matching, expand access for underserved communities, and build long-term organizational capacity across the field.
